Hoghton Tower has been the ancestral home of the de Hoghton family since the Norman conquest. The proceeds from events ranging from guided tours, concerts, recitals, opera, ballet, dinners, conferences, lectures, antique fairs and outdoor events all go to the upkeep of the house. This is without a doubt one of the most stunning venues we have visited... not least because the staff are superb

|
Bramall Hall, Cheshire Click HERE for a video clip at THIS venue location |
|
The house is a superb example of Cheshire "black and white" half-timbering, and one of the largest timber-framed houses in the northwest. The core of the house was built in the 14th century, with later Tudor and Jacobean additions around a central courtyard. The final effect is the result of a Victorian rebuilding program. There are fine Tudor rooms, though they are sparsely furnished, but at least this allows good views of the period plasterwork, the original timber roof in the solar, and 16th century wall paintings throughout. In addition the Victorian kitchen and servants' quarters have been restored

The Hall and gardens are a day trip! This is an olde worlde historic place and it is packed with attractions.. we remember the "Jungle" part of the horticultural centre best - it was like filming down the Amazon complete with parrots, butterflies, exotic plants and waterfalls! A wonderful place to film and photograph and the rooms in the Hall are steeped in atmosphere. The gardens adjacent to the Hall are massive and quite breathtaking. We loved filming the Hall frontage.. quite a challenge!

Set back from the main Mere-High Legh road and set in its own extensive gardens, this venue is popular, quiet and a bit exclusive. There's a Marquee, a brand new fabulous conservatory and lots of atmosphere here. Our weddings at this venue are a delight to produce
